She's been camping on the Isle of Mull and had a great time. I went to Cheltenham and picked her up off the train. Despite those standard whinges about trains always being late, hers arrived just about bang on time even after that loooong haul from Edinburgh's Waverley station.
As always after time away she felt the need to drive home. Lead-foot-Laura got us home in what seemed like record time.

Went to Cardiff for three days this week. Tuesday night I took a long walk down to the bay/dock area dragging the camera. Maybe pics will appear on the site if any of them are any good.
Fantastic view from the (12th floor) hotel room, but the weather was always hazy. No good pic opportunities there.
Being part way there went on to Burry Port on Wednesday to see (very) old friends. I've never been to their house before, but slung half way up a mountain they have a wildly spectacular view over the water. One of the girls in my course described Burry Port as a 'fishing village'. Not sure about the fishing, but the view was totally amazing.

You arrive early and wait for an hour and a half. During that time the posted wait to see your consultant moves from 20mins to 1hr20m!
Conversation:
"Can you move it?" "Yes." "It's healing up nicely then. Keep the strapping on for three weeks." "When can I play Volleyball?" (Makes spluttering noise.)
I guess that means about six weeks then.

With a bit of determination mum survived the software errors in the Gallery module and managed to get her favorite picture up onto the web site. When Matt saw it he did say "You're an administrator can't you take it off!"
Grandchildren just never appreciate what is being done for them.

At Volleyball training last Sunday (6 Apr) I mishandled a ball. (Hey Phil - It was a great serve!) and ended up with my little finger not looking too good. There were no crunching sounds and I reckoned it was just a bruise; although it was sticking out at a bit of a funny angle.
Well - it's been swelling and hurting increasingly all week. Friday I went to A&E - I should have accepted Bart's offer to take me up there last Sunday. It's broken. Fracture clinic tomorrow (Monday) but "Broken bones take six weeks".
Serious .
If you have to go to A&E then picking 8:50pm on Friday seems a good choice. I was in and out in 40 minutes. One of the nurses said it was because "Everyone is away on Easter holidays". I assumed it was just because the pubs hadn't turned out yet and those who would be knocking bits off each other later were still drinking.
